Play On
Play On presented by BJC HealthCare is our free weekly soccer program made to give more kids in St. Louis holistic soccer training from professional coaches.
At St. Louis CITY SC, we believe that soccer is for ALL!
Play On is our approach to bring high-quality training to different communities in St. Louis. More than just soccer skills, this is a 12-week holistic training program that uses soccer to educate kids physically, socially, and emotionally. Whether they’re new to the game or are looking for more ways to play in addition to school or club soccer, Play On provides kids a weekly place to play, learn and grow. We offer Beginner and Advanced sessions across different age groups. Each group is limited to 12 players to ensure one-on-one training with our coaches.
When & Where
Currently, we offer Play On sessions at five satellite locations around St. Louis. We’ve divided up the map into the North, South, East, West and Central regions to provide access to soccer in different neighborhoods in our CITY. Find a location near you and register for an upcoming session below

Who Can Play
Play On is more focused, but still fun and educational for new and experienced players. To cover the age range of 7 to 12 years old, we separate kids into competitive and comfortable age groups: U9 (7,8 yrs old), U11 (9, 10 yrs old), and U13 (11, 12yrs old). With five satellite regions, we work to focus the eligible participants to each location to ensure accessibility for players and families.
How It Works
Play On is a dedicated 12-week training program that combines technical and tactical soccer training with social and emotional learning. At CITY, we believe that soccer is more than just a sport, it’s a way to learn about ourselves and the world we live in. From passing & shooting to teamwork & collaboration, we use soccer to educate the next generation of players and people.
CITY Cup presented by World Wide Technology
While we segment players based on region for ease of access, we bring everyone together three
times per year. Following each Play On season (Spring, Summer, Fall), kids get the chance to
compete in a fun environment at the CITY Cup! <LINK TO CITY CUP>
Play On Plus
After Play On ends, the top players will be invited to join us for Play On Plus. This is another free and fun soccer experience from CITY – designed to provide additional support and opportunities for kids with a passion for the game. Here, we provide more detailed training to nurture soccer and personal skills.
Know Before You Go
Professional coaches and CITY staff help lead and organize the Play On and Play On Plus sessions. The training is built to be fun and holistic, giving kids experience and knowledge that will help them on the pitch and off.
